PEARL POLICE AND FBI ANNOUNCE REWARD FOR INFORMATION
IN RECENT CREDIT UNION ROBBERS
Pearl Police and the FBI will pay $17,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the men responsible for a recent robbery at a Pearl credit union. Pearl Police Chief Bill Slade and FBI Special Agent in Charge Frederick T. Brink made the announcement in Jackson on Tuesday. The pair hopes the reward money will bring forth new information. "Someone out there knows what happened and who is responsible, said Special Agent in Charge Brink. "We hope this money will be an incentive to help us bring the criminals to justice."
On May 3, 2007, two men dressed as law enforcement officers knocked on the door at the Members Exchange Credit Union, located at 101 Metroplex Boulevard, Pearl, Mississippi. One robber identified himself as an FBI Agent, the other wore a ballistic vest which read "SHERIFF". A third suspect was waiting in a green or silver Tahoe, which had a flashing blue light. The robbers tied up the tellers and made off with the loot. Pearl Police Detectives and FBI Agents with the Jackson Division's Safe Street Task Force continue to follow leads in the case.
Information concerning the identities and/or whereabouts of these individuals can be reported to Pearl Police at 601/939-7000, the FBI in Jackson at 601/948-5000, or your local law enforcement agency.
