An infant taken at gunpoint from her adoptive family in Mississippi is safe in North Carolina. Special Agents from the FBI Charlotte Division and Fort Bragg's Criminal Investigation Division and Military Police located a white mini-van with Mississippi tags in front of a residence on base. FBI and Army CID agents made entry and located 5 month old Madison Erickson at the residence. A five year old boy was also discovered inside. Kiefer is the birth mother of both children. Itawamba County Sheriff's Deputies and Mississippi bureau of Investigation Agents filed state kidnapping charges against the child's birth mother, Jamie Kiefer and her sister Rikki Swann, both of Mississippi. The two were arrested without incident on Ft. Bragg by the FBI and U.S. Army CID. The baby was taken to Womack Army Medical Center for a routine evaluation. Cumberland County, NC Sheriff's deputies will take custody of Kiefer and Swann from Army CID. Federal kidnapping charges are expected to be filed early next week. MBI, Itawamba County Sheriff's Investigators and FBI agents are actively seeking the male accomplice who helped with the kidnapping and has not yet been identified. The adoptive family is en route to North Carolina to reunite with the baby.
